What methods of training are used?
We use positive, science-based methods that focus on building connection, clear communication, and supporting your dog’s overall well-being. We do not use fear or intimidation to change your dog’s behavior.
Where do coaching and training sessions take place?
Training typically takes place in your home, however we may also work in your neighborhood or in the community, as needed. This allows us to focus on real-life situations that are part of your daily routine.
How often do we meet?
Sessions are usually scheduled weekly or every two weeks. The frequency may vary depending on your goals and your dog’s needs.
How long are the sessions?
Most sessions are approximately 60 minutes This allows time to work through skills, answer questions, and ensure you feel confident moving forward.
How long will it take to see progress?
Every dog and situation is different. Behavior change takes time and patience. Some changes may happen quickly, while others take more time and consistency.
Do I need to be involved in the training?
Yes! Your involvement is an important part of the process. You’ll receive guidance and support so you feel confident continuing skills between sessions.
Will I need to practice between sessions?
Yes! Practice between sessions helps build consistency and progress.
What should I bring to a session?
We’ll guide you on anything specific, but typically you’ll just need your dog, a hands-free treat pouch, and some treats. We are happy to give recommendations for these items.
How do I get started?
Start by filling out the contact form, then we’ll schedule a free 15-minute call. From there, we’ll talk through your goals and find a plan that feels like the right fit for you and your dog.
When do I pay for services?
Payment is required in full prior to scheduling services. Three session packages are to be used within six months of purchase date. Six session packages are to be used within twelve months of purchase date.
Is there a proof of vaccine requirement before beginning services?
Proof of up-to-date and age appropriate vaccinations against Rabies, Distemper, and Parvovirus OR titer results must be received via email at least 72 hours prior to the first scheduled session. Updated vaccine records must be provided as above on a continued basis throughout the span of the sessions/package.
